At WellCanine Dog Training, we believe a well-trained dog isn't just more obedient—they're free to experience more of life alongside the people who love them. Whether that's exploring new hiking trails, relaxing at a local coffee shop, traveling with confidence, or simply enjoying peaceful walks around the neighborhood, our mission is to help dogs and their owners thrive together.
Our training goes beyond teaching commands. We build trust, confidence, and clear communication so both ends of the leash feel prepared for whatever life brings.
OUR STORY
My passion for training began long before I ever worked with dogs professionally. Growing up, I spent my time riding horses, raising livestock through 4-H, and caring for animals whenever I had the opportunity. When my family brought home our first dog while I was in middle school, I quickly discovered a new passion. I immersed myself in trick training, agility, and learning everything I could about canine behavior.
That passion followed me through high school and college as I built a successful pet-sitting business, cared for animals across local farms, and began helping friends and families with their dogs.
For years, I dreamed of becoming a professional dog trainer but convinced myself it wasn't a realistic career path. Even after moving away and closing my business, the desire to work with dogs never disappeared.
Everything changed in 2024 when I began fostering a shepherd with a bite history for a local rescue. She challenged me to grow as both a trainer and a handler, and through helping her succeed, I realized this wasn't simply a hobby—it was the career I was meant to pursue.
I committed myself to continuing education, began fostering additional rescue dogs, expanded my hands-on experience, and officially launched WellCanine Dog Training in 2026.
Today, I have the privilege of helping owners build the same confidence, understanding, and relationship with their dogs that first inspired me years ago.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
Dogs don't exist simply to live in our homes—they deserve to experience life with us.
Unfortunately, many owners feel limited by uncertainty. Walks become stressful. Adventures feel impossible. Everyday situations become overwhelming because communication between dog and owner is missing.
I'm passionate about changing that.
My goal isn't simply to train dogs. It's to teach owners how to become confident leaders, advocates, and coaches for their dogs while helping dogs understand, trust, and confidently navigate the world around them.
When both the dog and owner understand each other, everything changes.

My approach is practical, relationship-focused, and designed for everyday life—not perfect training sessions.
I believe every dog deserves an individualized training plan built around their unique personality, needs, and natural instincts. Instead of forcing every dog through the same program, I focus on understanding why behaviors happen before deciding how to address them.
Throughout training, you'll never wonder how your dog is progressing. I believe in honest communication, regular updates, and equipping owners with the knowledge and confidence to continue their dog's success long after training ends.
My goal isn't to create dogs that only listen to me.
